5) Tri-Counties Regional Center
It was such a pleasure to speak with you this afternoon, thank you for your time! I look forward to partnering with PUEBLO.
Tri-Counties Regional Center is a Santa Barbara based non-profit organization with 6 offices in the Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and Ventura County areas.
TCRC provides person and family centered planning, services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities to maximize opportunities and choices for living, working, learning and recreating in the community. Our vision is that all persons with developmental disabilities live fully and safely as active and independent members of their community.
Please take a look at our website for more information about our agency. www.tri-counties.org
We are currently looking for bilingual Social Workers for our Santa Barbara, Oxnard and Simi Valley offices. This is a challenging and rewarding position that makes a great impact on the community. Requirements are a BA or MA in a human services field with 1-2 years experience working with the developmentally disabled population. And of course this position requires bilingual/bi-cultural skills.
I would like to be able to include that in your next monthly blast, along with any other information about our agency that you feel would be appropriate. We have a media coordinator that has a lot of resources and ideas.
Thank you again for your time and have a wonderful afternoon! --------
6) El PUEBLO Unido, jamas sera vencido. "The People united will never be defeated." A common chant heard at rallies for progressive causes is as much a declaration of fact as a call to action. It's a reminder that united we are stronger and will more than likely prevail.
The forecast for fundraisers has been bleak for the last year. But, it is by no means a tolling of the bells. Fundraising is not dead, but most importantly, activism is not dead. The PUEBLO Education Fund continues to organize and collaborate with other organizations such as SB CAN, CAUSE, and CLUE Santa Barbara on a variety of issues affecting working families. The fight for economic justice is now more relevant than ever. These are new times and there is new vitality in a movement for justice and equity for all people.
This new vitality must be matched with funds to support the organizers and volunteers who continue to strategies, conduct research, attend meetings, draft statements, speak before city councils and county boards, and continue the struggle for themselves and for all of us.
Send your donation today. And if you have already given this year, give again. Many of our supporters are becoming monthly donors and finding that they can increase their annual giving with smaller, but multiple donations. Our monthly donors give from as little as $5 per month to over $250. Any range in between works. Please contact Gerardo Ayala or Hazel Putney to set up a monthly payment through your bank.
El PUEBLO Unido jamas sera vencido!
In Solidarity,
Gerardo Ayala Development Director and long time supporter.
