1)There will be a forum this Thursday (MAY 20) from 7-9 PM at the University Religious Center (URC) which is located at 777 Camino Pescadero.

The forum is titled, "SB 1070: The Immigrant Rights Movement at a Crossroads." The keynote speaker will be Professor Jesses Diaz Jr., from the University of Texas, Arlington who is a scholar and activist and has been heavily involved in the fight against SB 1070. Jesse was one of the key organizers around the boycott of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Speakers will also include Ana Cid from UCSB IDEAS and Belen Seara from PUEBLO. Discussion will focus on SB 1070 and the immigrant rights movement, as well as local actions that will be taking this week and on May 29. All are welcome.

Now more than ever our low income voters and our Latino voters must stand up for the values that define this nation, like respect, justice and fairness. Every vote is a voice of change! Please join us this Saturday May 29th at 2:00p.m. in FRONT of the Courthouse (Anacapa and Anapamu on the Anacapa side).

2) El Fondo de Accion de PUEBLO le invita a ser parte del Dia Nacional de Accion en contra de la Medida SB1070 de Arizona. Vamos a caminar recintos en contra del racismo! Nuestros votantes Latinos se tienen que levantar y luchar por los valores que definen esta nación, como respeto, justicia e igualdad. Cada voto es una voz para el cambio! Venga con nosotros en frente de la Corte (Anacapa & Anapamu el lado de Anacapa) el 29 de Mayo a las 2:00pm.

3)PRECINCT WALK AGAINST MASS EVICTIONS!

PUEBLO Action Fund invites you to a PRECINCT WALK FOR TENANTS' RIGHTS to bring an end to unjust evictions and to finally pass an ordinance that gives tenants the legal rights necessary defend ourselves from the systematic abuses of some Santa Barbara County landlords. We must RE-ELECT JANET WOLF to maintain the PROGRESSIVE COUNTY MAJORITY for the upcoming vote on Ordinance 4444.

Join us this SUNDAY, MAY 23RD at 1:30 PM at the GOLETA VALLEY COMMUNITY CENTER (5679 Hollister Ave. in Old Town Goleta, Bus lines 6, 11 & 12x) for FREE FOOD, SPEAKERS, and a PRECINCT WALK to ensure the passage of this important legislation that our community needs.

PUEBLO Action Fund les invita a una CAMINATA DE RECINTO PARA LOS DERECHOS DE INQUILINOS para acabar con los desalojos injustos y por fin implementar a la legislacion que da a los inquilinos los derechos legales necesarios para defendernos del abuso sistematico por algunos propietarios en el Condado de Santa Barbara. Necesitamos RE-ELEGIR A JANET WOLF para proteger la MAYORIA PROGRESISTA DEL CONDADO para el voto proximo en la Ordenanza 4444.
